Papertrey Ink Color Challenge

Howdy, folks :)

I'm joining in for today's installment of Papertrey Ink's 6th Anniversary!
Couldn't resist a color challenge ;)

Nichole is showing 6 trendy color combinations for your inspiration's delight today.
Generally, I'm a #6 girl.
Tried & true.
It's sort of my color home base, if you will.

Soooo... to switch things up, I decided to go with a totally new-to-me combo...
enter #4.

Canyon Clay, Orange Zest, Melon Berry, Autumn Rose, & Dark Chocolate.

I paired them up with the brand new Irresistibly Ikat set... winner, winner :)

This card came together in a matter of minutes, so this pattern building set totally passes the clean and simple test.

This card only uses the image with four connected diamonds.  One little hint here... to make this card go even more quickly, I used two different inks each time I inked up that image.  I just inked up one side of the image (1,2, or 3 diamonds) with one color, then I flipped the image around and inked up the remaining diamonds with a different color.  The space between each diamond makes this super easy to do, although the pattern is so forgiving that even if you weren't that neat about it, it would still totally work.

Doubling up on my inks allowed me to get a lot of color variation (I went for a random color pattern) while still stamping 4 diamonds at a time.

Quick, quick.
That's what I'm talkin' about :)

Be sure to head on over to Nichole's blog to check out all the trendy happenings and contest details for today.  $60 PTI gift certificate up for grabs... could be yours ;)

More from me tomorrow!
